As Nigerians begin domestic travelling in and around the country following the approval that flight operations recommence at the nation’s airports, we care enough to bring to your notice and remind you of the following new procedural guidelines for air travelers and other airport users aimed at protecting all stakeholders and preventing further spread of the Covid-19 virus:
If you’re a departing passenger, please make sure you arrive the airport properly kitted with their FACE MASKS ON.
Ensure you maintain 1.5m PHYSICAL DISTANCING, Aviation Medical/Port Health personnel would screen each passenger and ensure the use of FACE MASKS,
If you’re travelling with pets, you MUST get necessary clearance from Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Services,
Avail your luggage to be DISINFECTED before entry into the departure halls. WASH your HANDS as often as possible and use HAND SANITIZER before entrance, at the waiting halls/lounges and pre boarding gates. DISINFECT/SANITIZE your footwear with the FOOT MATS placed at all entrances to the terminal building, amongst others.
As an arriving passenger disembarkation from the aircraft, bserve PHYSICAL DISTANCING as you board the Co-Buses, claim your baggages and undergo CUSTOMS check,
Exit the halls and head straight to the car park for pick up, speak only to a properly tagged Aviation Security (AVSEC) officer
Observe PHYSICAL DISTANCING while waiting to be screened by personnel of PORT HEALTH SERVICES, amongst others.
Observe SOCIAL DISTANCING and make use of the FLOOR MARKINGS at the security screening area.
When you leave the airport, WASH your hands, do this for at least 20 seconds with soap and rinse for at least 10 seconds with water taking care to not forget your nails bed, under your fingernails, and in between your fingers.
